A Miguel Veloso header in added time broke the stalemate in Eibasan to give Portugal a 1-0 win over Albania in Euro 2016 qualification Group I.
Fernando Santos's side retained their position of leaders of the group, following a frustrating match, due largely to Albania's resolute defending.
The home side, who remain 3rd in Group I behind Portugal and Denmark, weathered the Portugal storm for much of the match, with Nani hitting the post with what looked an easy goalscoring chance after 13 minutes, and Eliseu coming agonisingly close with a lobbed shot in second half.
Albania had fleeting glimspes of quality, striking the crossbar after 75 minutes, following a thumping strike from forward Sokol Cikalleshi.
