Napoli began their Europa League Group C campaign by thrashing Belgian side Club Brugge 5-0 at San Paolo Stadium on Thursday.
Jose Callejon got the Italians off to the perfect start in front of their home support - albeit in fortunate circumstances - as his right-wing cross flew over the head of Brugge goalkeeper Sinan Bolat and into the far corner of the net.

The Spaniard then turned provider as he set up Dries Mertens for a close-range tap-in, before the Belgium international attacker netted his second of the night with a well taken volley on 25 minutes.
Napoli’s dominance continued following the interval and Marek Hamsik downed any thoughts of a Brugge comeback when he added his name to the scoresheet after finishing from inside the area.
With less than 15 minutes to play, Callejon bagged his brace as he calmly fired low under the unguarded Bolat to help mark Napoli’s record home victory in European competition.
