Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez's first European goal for Bayer Leverkusen helped the German side on the way to a comfortable 4-1 victory over BATE Borisov in Wednesday night's Champions League tie.
Admir Mehmedi got the hosts off to a flying start on 4 minutes, with a tidy strike inside the penalty area, but BATE managed to equalise shortly after, as Nemanja Milunovic's bouncing header on 13 minutes found its way past Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The second half saw a BATE collapse, though, as Leverkusen applied the pressure, seeing Hakan Calhanoglu net twice, either side of a Javier Hernandez header on 58 minutes.
