His trusted men are hurting him. Chelsea lie 16th and are having their worst start to a campaign since Wembley organized an event to mark Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday, and the talk of a disappointing third season for Mourinho lingers. His men haven't come to the party yet.
Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, John Terry, and what in the world is going on with Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic?
Be it a big game win or galvanizing his team through this period, Mourinho needs to do something special and do it quickly. Chelsea's season looks like it is in flames already but he could either choose to be Fawkes the Phoenix in Harry Potter or Guy Fawkes.
Difference is, the former ignites itself and rises from the ashes, the latter fails and is the mockery of every bonfire.
Klopp Ticking For Brendan.
In a battle of character meets philosophy, he lost and he did it horribly. The sack races are on and seems to be the only thing Rodgers is in the lead in.
The calls for his sack are growing and while there is potential in the man, patience is running thin at the red side of Merseyside.
Worse is, he has no excuse to run to perhaps absence of Coutinho and Sturridge through injuries. This is the team with his fingerprints on it and his tactical errors on Saturday could see Klopp being a Kop.
Foxes Are Running Wild
Leicester city are clearly showing they are not making up spaces in the premier league.
The club are joined with Man City in gaining the most points from April of last season into this current campaign. 2-0 down against Sherwood's Aston Villa.
The Foxes showed guts and commitment in securing a win as exemplified by new signing Nathan Dyer's brave header that saw the striker lay dazed on the pitch after he scored. Ranieri's men have earned every single point and deservedly need to be in the spot they are in.
Arsenal Need To Be Clinical
They lead the league with most scoring chances created and are bottom with conversion rates. Before Theo Walcott got his goal he had missed quite a lot of chances and after Giroud came on he also missed a couple as well.
Arsenal are short in the striking department and would need to be more clinical especially against a team that would not be as toothless as Stoke City were.
In their midfield lies an arsenal of creative maestros and Coquelin is riding a success wave at the moment, a better defensive pairing and a solid goalkeeper at the back, the last piece of puzzle seems to be a world class striker.
While that puzzle remains amiss the forward department needs to prevent more moments of what-a-miss.
Martial Over Marouane.
It is quite something when Man Utd put out a team with Fellaini leading the attack and his performance against a poor Liverpool suggest this should not happen again.
His first miss after a mistake from Mignolet said it all, the fact he couldn't even keep it on target shows why Man Utd should not have gone this thin.
Man Utd face PSV Eindhoven in the champions league midweek and it would be almost criminal to see Fellaini get a nod in the starting lineup over Anthony Martial.
