David Silva has been ruled out of Manchester City’s clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday due to an ankle injury.
The 29-year-old has started the season in fine form for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, scoring one goal and assisting four others in his opening four Premier League matches.
“Silva is out as I think it would be a risk for him to take another knock on his ankle,” Pellegrini said on Friday.
“I hope he will be OK for Juventus [on Tuesday].”
The City manager also confirmed that Bacary Sagna is available for his side’s trip to Selhurst Park despite suffering a minor ankle problem in France’s 2-1 win over Serbia on Monday.
Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Fabian Delph are also unavailable for the match against Alan Pardew's side.
