Real Madrid have confirmed there is no timescale on Gareth Bale's return having suffered a calf injury against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Wales international was replaced midway through the first half against the Ukrainian outfit, though Rafa Benitez played down fears the winger would be missing for an extended period.
And the Santiago Bernabeu club released a statement on Thursday, confirming that Bale's recovery would be monitored before any plans for his return are made.
"After tests today at the University Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja, Gareth Bale has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the left soleus, pending developments."
Los Blancos face the likes of Atletic Club, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in next month while Wales have Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Andorra on the horizon.
