Brazil coach Dunga says captain Neymar will feature in this week’s Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour friendlies with Costa Rica and USA.
The Barcelona forward has featured in just one of his club’s first four matches of the season after contracting the mumps, having played in the 1-0 victory over Malaga last week.
The attacker is suspended for Brazil’s first two World Cup qualifiers, away to Chile and at home to Colombia in October after receiving a red card in the Copa America, but Dunga says he intends to use Neymar in both matches this week.
“We will use Neymar,” he told reporters at Brazil’s base camp in New Jersey, the Westin Jersey City Newport Hotel.
“We brought him here to come and train, compete and get motivation.
"When it comes to a competitive player like him, he always wants to play. We'll have a moment in which we'll use him. How exactly we use him is being weighed up."
Neymar was not a member of the designated first team in Brazil’s training session on Thursday, but played as a 12th man for whichever side had possession.
