James Rodriguez is not concerned by Rafa Benitez rotating him from the first team in Real Madrid's opening games of the season.
The Colombian was not in the starting XI for the Blancos 0-0 draw with Sporting Gijon but he starred for the team in their second game of the Liga season as they thrashed Betis 5-0.
James, in his second campaign as a Madrid player, is keeping his focus on impressing in training so he and his Santiago Bernabeu team-mates can make up for a lack of silverware in 2015.
"I think Rafa is the one who makes the decisions," he told AS. "I have always been calm. I just need to train well and perform well when I have the chance.
"I always want to win everything; everyone in Real Madrid is the same. That's why I want to keep scoring and assisting."
James also gave his verdict on Copa America semi-finalists Peru, whom Colombia face in a friendly in USA on Tuesday, and is wary of the quality within the opposition's ranks.
"Peru have become strong in recent years," the World Cup 2014 star told reporters. "They were good at Copa America and I can expect the same from them on Tuesday.
"Colombia just need to do what we have always done. We need to be careful as they have very good players."
Colombia crashed out of the Copa America at the quarter-final stage having been beaten on penalties by Argentina.
Jose Pekerman's men are now preparing for next summer's Copa America Centenario and begin World Cup 2018 qualifiers in October.
