PSG aiming for Champions League final - Thiago Silva

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has indicated that the Champions League final is in his thoughts this season, as the club look to improve on 2014-15's quarter-final defeat to Barcelona. 

The reigning French champions drew 2-2 with Bordeaux on Friday but remain top of Ligue 1 and begin their Champions League campaign at home to Malmo on Tuesday. 

And Thiago Silva, who partners fellow Brazil international David Luiz in the PSG defence, believes that the French club should be aiming for the final of Europe's premier competition. 

"When I look at our team here on the ground, I imagine many things and especially the final of the Champions League," the 30-year-old told Telefoot. 

He also singled out team-mate Blaise Matuidi for praise, following the France international's impressive start to the season, including netting a brace in France's 2-1 win over Serbia. 

"Technically, physically, I think he's a phenomenon," the Brazil defender added.
