PHOTO: Super Eagles Players Depart For Tanzania Clash

The Super Eagles of Nigeria departed for Dar es Salam two days to its crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Thursday, September 3, two days before the game.

The game billed for the National Stadium, Da es Salam on Saturday will see Sunday Oliseh's men battle for maximum points in their bid to reach the tournament billed for Gabon.


The delegation will be made up of 23 players, technical officials, members of NFF Executive Committee, NFF Staff, some representatives of the media, football stakeholders and members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.

Both countries have not met at senior level since December 1980, but there have been clashes at junior level, and an African Women Championship qualifying fixtures in recent years.

Nigeria is second in Group G while the hosts sit at the base of the log following their defeat to Egypt in the opening day of the qualifier.
