Chelsea failed in Luisao bid

Chelsea only signed Papy Djilobodji from Nantes after failing in a move for Benfica's veteran defender Luisao. Jose Mourinho was ready to offer the Brazilian a two-year contract, but the Portuguese side rebuffed their late approach.
