Barcelona battled their way past Malaga on Saturday with a 1-0 win to get revenge on the only side to have beaten them in La Liga in 2015.
Luis Enrique's men bombarded the visitors' goal in the first half though somehow it remained goalless as the reigning Spanish champions sought to build on their opening win at Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
Thomas Vermaelen alleviated Camp Nou nerves in the 73rd minute when he rifled home his first goal for the Catalans, sending them to the top of the Primera Division at least temporarily.
